  • @afruae thanks for your topic.

    1) I’m curious if the plugin is detecting some insecure assets in the WP admin. Could you check for any browser console errors there and send a screenshot?

You can provide a link to screenshots using a service like Imgur or Jumpshare.

    2) Yes, when I check the AMP version of your post in the AMP Test Tool, there are several errors that make it not valid. There might be another plugin conflicting.

Could you temporarily disable any optimization plugins you may have on the site?

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please send us your Site Health Information through this form.

    Dear Renee,

Thank you for your help. Please see

2/ I disabled SemRush SEO plugin but I see the same issue. I sent you SiteHealth information via your form.

    @afruae thanks for this information!

    1) From the Site Health Status provided in your screenshot there does look to be an issue with mixed content somewhere in your installation. You may want to double-check your WordPress settings or even contact your hosting provider for the best way to ensure all assets are served over HTTPS.

    2) Could you disable the WP Optimize plugin and let us know if the issue persists?

    Dear Renee,

    Thank you very much!

    1. I contacted my Hostgator support but they did not find errors with hosting. While running an AMP test for uaebusiness.com website, Google shows the error ‘Not an AMP page’ as shown at https://search.google.com/test/amp?id=Lu4FR4Iln-ll35d7ywrCjQ .

    2. I disabled WP Optimize for few minutes and tested pages again but I saw the same issue again. Thanks.

@afruae thanks for the update and reply.

    1) Have you made customization to the legacy reader theme template? I notice some invalid markup might be related to these changes.

    2) If you switch to one of the new reader themes, do some of the errors subside?

    Dear Renee,

Thank you very much for your support.

1/ No. I did not make changes to your AMP theme template.

2/ I changed the website’s theme, then I changed AMP theme from AMP Reader to Standard mode. Search console says me now:

    for example, for link https://uaebusiness.com/2020/10/16/consumers-expect-all-brands-to-provide-wellness-offerings-new-ogilvy-study-finds/

    —-
    1/ URL is on Google

    2/ Coverage Submitted and indexed

    3/ Page is mobile friendly
    —-

But if I want to check the same link with “amp” https://uaebusiness.com/2020/10/16/consumers-expect-all-brands-to-provide-wellness-offerings-new-ogilvy-study-finds/AMP/

then I see “Page actions are temporarily disabled”.. URL is not on Google.

As I understand due “Standard” template.

and I received Search console errors ten hours ago

“Referenced AMP URL is not an AMP
    https://uaebusiness.com/2017/09/15/sustainable-city-dubai/amp/
but redirect to this page without “amp/
and the same error for other pages.”

I think it due to Standard template.

    Thanks and Best regards

@afruae thanks so much for the follow up and additional info!

I’m still seeing the issue is present with Standard Mode as well. Note that in Standard Mode your site should be fully served as AMP so the /amp/ URLs no longer exist.

With that said, your canonical URLs should be AMP URLS. Interestingly, I am actually able to recreate the issue with the Google Language Translator plugin while testing on a site.

Could you navigate to AMP > Validated URLs and let me know if there are any URLs listed?

I’m particularly looking for those with either a particular plugin/theme flagged and perhaps invalid markup being “kept” on the URL? For example like in this screenshot: https://jmp.sh/YLbHJRE

    Dear Renee,

Thank you very much. I do not see the sections “Validated URLs” and “Error Index”. Please see screenshot https://imgur.com/a/FLND0Pu WordPress Version 5.5.1

    Best regards

    (@afruae)

and for our second website, I do not see these sections but I do not see errors “Invalid AMP pages”. Please see https://africabusiness.com (Reader template). I see on the mobile standard mobile template for both websites, maybe it not a reader template. All websites have WordPress version 5.5.1 Thanks.

Thanks for the update. From inspecting your site I noticed you don’t have a redirection in place, it’s therefore possible to access the non secure version of your site (and admin panel). If you don’t want to see the notice ensure all non secure (http) traffic is redirected to the secure version (https). Your hosting control panel may have a configuration to apply redirection, alternatively you can use a plugin if preferred.

In relation to any validation errors or notices let me know if you have any in particular you need assistance with. You can also check the plugins website FAQs page.

    Hello,

Thank you. I setup plugin which redirect http to https

But I see AMP issue again and again. https://uaebusiness.com/2020/10/18/exclusive-interview-with-rabih-bou-rashid/amp/

    AMP pages not valid

    AMP indexing
    ?
    AMP version permits indexing
    Issues
Only amp-boilerplate and amp-custom ‘style’ tags are allowed, and only in the document head.
The tag ‘img’ should be replaced with an equivalent ‘amp-img’ tag.
A mandatory AMP HTML tag is missing from this document.
External stylesheets not supported, except for allowed font providers. Use the document inline ‘style amp-custom’ tag instead.

@afruae thanks for your update and for troubleshooting with us!

    1) When I look at the code the AMP posts of https://africabusiness.com I do not see the same invalid markup that is present on https://uaebusiness.com. So there is something about this site that is causing the issue to surface.

Are you using different plugins/ theme configurations for https://africabusiness.com? Feel free to share the Site Health Info for that site through the form so we can compare too.

One thing I notice is that you are using the Redirect mobile visitors to AMP option on https://uaebusiness.com (but not on the other site). Could you temporarily toggle this off?

I do not see the sections “Validated URLs” and “Error Index”.

    2) It looks like you need to turn this on in your WordPress user profile under AMP Developer tools (screenshot). Once turned on, please feel free let us know if there are any errors present.

    Dear Renee,

Thank you very much for your help.

    1. I use same theme but different hosting plans.
    uaebusiness.com plugins:
Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights
    Hostgator WalkMe Plugin
    Proxy Cache Purge
    Really Simple SSL

I do not use above plugins on uaebusiness.com. Others plugins are same, except GA Google Analytics

I submitted africabusiness and uaebusiness Site health info via your form.

I switched off redirect traffic to mobile (uaebusiness.com).

    2. I turned on but do not see any errors notification on the WordPress sidebar on both websites.

    Thank you very much!

    Best regards

@afruae thanks so much for the information! There are some details I would like to check with the team, but could you confirm the following:

    1) It seems like for africabusiness.com the site can perform loopback requests under the Site Health Status in the information submitted.

For uaebusiness.com, could you confirm if the site can perform loopback requests or not?

    2) Are you able to check the PHP error logs at your host or use the WP DEBUG log and check for any error messages for uaebusiness.com?

    Dear Renee,

Thank you very much for your help.

    1. AfricaBusiness.com Site Health Status good, 3 recommended improvements, 21 items with no issues detected and one of them –
“Your site can perform loopback requests”.

UAEBusiness.com Site Health Status, 3 recommended improvements, 27 items with no issues detected and one of them -“Your site can perform loopback requests”.

    2. I asked support and waiting the answer.
