    Hello,

I’m running WordPress 5.6 with Stylemix Themes Consulting in its latest version including WPBakery 6.5.0. According to the authors of the theme, it should be 100 percent AMP compatible, but after enabling the AMP plugin and choosing the standard mode, I can only see in preview a blinking dot in the middle of the screen, but the website doesn’t load (it is true for all of the pages). I have 0 critical issues with WordPress “Health condition”.

Could you help me with solving this issue?

    Kind regards,
    Gregor

  • @iosonogregorio thanks for your topic!

    1) From the WordPress Dashboard, do you see any errors flagged under AMP > Validated URLs? Under the column Sources do you see any plugins or your theme flagged?

    2) Are you using WPBakery/ Visual Composer on the page with the issue? While some aspects of the theme could be AMP compatible, WPBakery/ Visual Composer isn’t fully AMP compatible because it uses JavaScript which is restricted on AMP pages. The plugin will remove the invalid markup in order to pass validation which may result in display changes.

I also suggest contacting the authors of your theme to find out which configuration of their theme and mode of the AMP plugin should be used to ensure compatibility.

@reneesoffice, thank you for your reply.

    1) No validated URLs found, No validation errors found, all of the plugins: No validation errors yet detected.

    2) Yes, I am using WPBakery across the website, and the infinite loading error (blinking dot) is present on all of the pages.

The theme authors advertise that it is 100% compatible with AMP, so I assumed it should work in standard mode. On the other hand, you mentioned that WPBakery isn’t 100% compatible. I will ask them about it.

    Kind regards,
    Gregor

@iosonogregorio sounds like a plan. If you have any further questions about the AMP plugin, please feel free to open a new topic.
