AMP Dev Mode error with AMP Validator

In short, development mode only is enabled when you are logged in. This is normal and expected. When logged out (and when your site is crawled) dev mode will not be enabled.

Oh wait, but you say even when you are not logged in? That is not expected. Please share the URL to an AMP page that has this issue.

The AMP Validator is still showing me the error when logged out, but I can’t find it in the source code.

I think I’ve seen that issue before myself. I think that’s a bug with the AMP Validator extension where it caches old results. Sometimes I have to open a new tab to see the extension show the right icon. What matters is what the AMP Validator reports for your AMP page. Just saw that new posts are still indexed by Google and served as AMP on mobile so I guess it’s okay.

Yes, that is as expected.

FYI: The AMP Validator extension has just been updated to not show an error when in dev mode. A warning is shown instead.
