    Hello,
When I have the AMP plugin activated, my menu bar freezes and is not clickable. I also lose my grid filters from WP Ultimate Grid. I tried suppressing the grid plugin, but it didn’t work. The filter checkboxes still didn’t appear. It does the same thing on desktop and mobile.
Any help to make this plugin work would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi Heather,

I suspect you may be using a theme which is not fully AMP compatible, with any JavaScript based features not compatible as per AMP framework principles. If so you can use the plugins reader mode, which allows you to choose a separate theme for your AMP URLs, with the canonical (non AMP) version of your contact not impacted. We have more information on reader mode in the video below.

If you have the resources to make programmatic changes it’s also possible to make your navigation menu and other incompatible features work in AMP. We’re working on expanding the documentation for this particular functionality at present.

In relation to WP Ultimate Grid I don’t see any references to AMP compatibility from checking their website. Have you contacted the plugin developer? It looks very heavily JavaScript based.

If you want to share your site URL or the theme you’re using I’d be happy to check for AMP compatibility.

Thank you for all the info!
I tried reader mode too, but my site was awful looking and none of the grids showed up.
My site is heathershomemadekitchen.com on the lahanna theme.
I’ve been having a lot of issues with my site so I think I will switch to a better theme.
    Thanks again!

Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately the theme you have active is a commercial theme so I can’t test it on my side. You could achieve a very similar look to your current site using the Astra theme while in reader mode, with the Astra theme fully AMP compatible. You’ll need to install the theme from the themes repository in order for it to be available via reader mode. If doing so why not compare the performance of your AMP versus your non AMP URLs, maybe you could eventually switch to fully AMP if you’re benefiting from the boost.

If you have any further questions be sure to reach out.

@hawdesign03 As we haven’t received a response, I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist. Thank you!
