Amp brings up blog post page instead of main home page

Do you have complex type home page? Like static home page?

This is happening to me as well, the URI is:
https://freedomisajourney.com (static home page)
https://freedomisajourney.com/amp (blog roll)

This has been sitting out here for over a week with no update. The issue seems to be pretty bad if you ask me.

If you have a static home page and you choose that in the plugin, then you get the static home page for the home page, but then you ALSO get it for the chosen blog page.

Seems like this plugin needs to also have a drop down allowing you to choose the blog page just like wordpress has?
