When I try to add a product to my cart on my mobile phone, I get a red box error: “Your submission failed. The server responded with (code). Please contact the developer of this form processor to improve this message.” The woocommerce plugin works just fine on my computer, and woocommerce currently shows up as having incompatibility issues when I do an AMP site scan. Any ideas on how to fix this? (I’m posting here because I’m guessing it is AMP related from what I’ve read in my internet search for a solution and since this issue only occurs on the phone. Let me know if I need to submit the issue with them instead.)

  • Hi @firstfestivefooties,

Thanks for contacting us, WooCommerce is not yet fully compatible, but it can be configured to work at a basic level.

    1) I will suggest disabling AMP on cart and checkout pages

    2) Update cart behavior settings to redirect on adding a product in cart and disabling Ajax add to cart check on from Archive.

Additionally, I will suggest using the AMP Enhancer plugin, it can help you in addressing some Incompatibilities in WoCommerce.

I’ve already done suggestions 1 and 2… and honestly I’m starting to get a lot of plugins which, to my understanding, opens me up to more security threats so I don’t like the idea of having to add ANOTHER plugin just to make the original plugins work better… Are there any other options besides adding another plugin or deleting AMP altogether?

    Hi @firstfestivefooties,

I understand your concerns; as I mentioned, Woocommerce is not fully compatible with the AMP framework; the plugin is not part of our plugin; it is a fix made by the community to deal with some of the incompatibilities from the Woocommerce side; plugins and themes need to follow a set of rules to be AMP compatible.

Some items from Woocommerce depend on third-party javascript, which is not allowed with the AMP framework for those pages that depends on it. You can turn off AMP or use the AMP plugin with the new experimental Sandboxing available at the Standard mode.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you require any further assistance.
