    Are they getting any error messages back from SagePay?

    The payment page requires a 3 digit CV number, AMEX has 4 digits

    therefore they can never enter the correct CV number

    hmmm, validation on the cv2 doesn’t count digits – so your user would be able to enter 4 digits – if the issue is the fact that the label is incorrect then you can modify it to say 4 numbers.
