Amend the automatic reply-to email address for order confirmations

    Need some assistance please! I outsource all my product fulfilment, and all the New Order emails are set to go directly to the third-party fulfilment to sort. However when they reply to these emails the email address defaults to the customer’s email address not to my email address. How do I change this please?

  • Hi @purpl33lk!

    You can change the ‘From’ email address that displays on the email notifications, in the Email sender options field under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails

    If you want to change who receives the new order notification, you can change this in WooCommerce > Settings > Emails > New Order.

    Hey Juan, thanks for the input. I’ve probably not explained it very clearly though as it’s a bit more complex than that:

    What is happening is that when my third party fulfilment replies to the order confirmation email (my email address), instead of replying to the email address that it came from, it automatically replies to the customer’s email address instead.

    To get a better understanding of your site setup, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Hi @purpl33lk,

    Thanks for sending that over. As mentioned above, there isn’t a separate “reply to” email address. By default, it’ll use the “from” email address set in WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.

    You may be able to change this with a bit of custom coding. I’d suggest taking a look at this StackOverflow question/answer. If it works as it says, then it should be able to help you out.
