Most of the traffic I see from AWS/EC2 sites are bots either scanning or actively trying to hack. If it’s news feed traffic, your logs will show them hitting /feed/ regularly.

+1 for what Steve said. Those are bots. Both ColoCrossing and AWS are hosting providers. We track a significant amount of bad traffic from ColoCrossing.

The referrer can be faked, so even if it says it’s a Google referral, it doesn’t mean it’s human.
