Amazon Web Services Micro Instance MySQL Crash

  • I’ve been using Woocommerce 1.6.6 and found that my Amazon Web Service instance MySQL database would crash almost daily after I enabled Woocommerce.

    The database would stop crashing and WordPress would be fine as soon as I disabled the plugin.

    Has anybody else had a similar experience?

    I would have thought that the software should just go slower rather than falling over even if I was running on a small server…

    Is it worth trying out Woocommerce 2.0.1?

  • Eh – yeah – the micro instance is tiny. It’s why they call it micro ??

    Just to check – was your site crashing before installing WooCommerce? Try deactivating the plugin to test. It’s always worth upgrading, but I suspect you’ll still have performance issues.

    You can also try this plugin by goDaddy – it’s actually pretty nice and could give you an idea of what’s causing performance issues on your server.
