Amazon Store Integration

  • Does anyone know of a good Amazon store plugin or code that I can use to integrate into my WP install? I have WP non-root of the domain so it’s https://www.domain.com/wpfolder/ but I would like my store at https://www.domain.com/store/ — so that makes it a bit trickier, but still possible.

    I’ve tried most if not all of the Amazon plugins I could find on Google and the Codex already. Does anyone else have some success stories with integrating a COMPLETE Amazon store into their WP theme? thanks!

    Why is it trickier having a non-root WP? domain.com/store can be any script you want — if you actually have /store, that’ll take precedence (I believe) over WP rewrite rules… I think! find a store script that you like that can be styled, and make the style look like your blog.

    Alternatively, what features are you looking for from a ‘store’. You could make a custom page template and hook a store script in there.

    I’m currently working on an ‘evolved’ version of CG-Amazon that will have a mini store as part of it (I won’t try to compete with the big scripts, but the big scripts don’t have the knowledge of WP I do… ?? ). One big advantage will be the ‘cross-linking’ ability from the blog to the store (very easy), and the store to the blog (a bit more work, but still internal).

    Always interested to hear what features people are looking for — and what they want for free, vs what is in paid scripts that makes paying more attractive. ?? ??
