Amazon s3 file upload

  • Hi, If i use this plugin to upload my media files (images) to amazon s3 does it still keep a copy on my hosting server or can i just upload it to s3 and not keep it in my hosting server.

    You can do either.

    By default WP Offload Media does not remove the local files from the server after offloading them to the bucket, and we recommend leaving the files on the server if at all possible for peace of mind and in case you need to stop using WP Offload Media for some reason.

    However, if you need to save space on the server you can turn on the “Remove Files From Server” option, which will remove the local files as soon as they have been offloaded to the bucket.

    If your media has already been offloaded to the bucket, the Pro version of WP Offload Media has a tool to remove the local files once that setting is turned on, WP Offload Media Lite does not.
