Many of my customers have come into my live chat asking for help regarding checkout. I use Amazon Pay as my payment processor. The message they are receiving is “there are no available payment methods for your state.” The thing that I find very odd is that some customers come from the same states and have no problems while others get the error. Would this be a problem with Woocommerce, Amazon Pay or with my configuration?

  • Hi @xbonlinekvs,

That’s a great question. The “there are no available payment methods for your state” is often shown to customers when there is a configuration error.

I would suggest enabling debug for Amazon Pay. To do that go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments and click on Amazon Pay. The option to enable debug is near the bottom of the screen.

    debug

What that will do is capture the communication between your store and Amazon. It also typically shows more detailed error messages that can help you get to the bottom of what’s happening.

Turn on debug and then try making a test purchase. You’ll be able to see the log by going to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and using the drop-down there to view the Amazon log from that date/time.

See if there are any error messages in it. Often they can point you to a solution. If you still have trouble, go on and open up a ticket and we’d be happy to help you at WooCommerce.com

Let me know how it goes.

    Cheers
