Hi, spotted a large number of amazon related bots – Hostname – *.amazonaws.com* 14000 in last week, Hostname – *.crawl.amazonbot.amazon* 513 in last week. Was killing the server so blocked using wordfence at this stage. Thought useful to know.

    Hello Tibbie,

We also offer our free AntiHacker Plugin, which helps block those seeking vulnerabilities on your site. If you configure our Stop Bad Bots, Block Engine Management plugin properly as non-minimal, you’ll increase the filtering capacity and block bots coming from Amazon AWS. This way, you won’t need a plugin like the one you mentioned, which costs 10 times more than ours and sends all your visit data via API to their server, slowing down your page load. Page load time is crucial for Google ranking and to please your users, who don’t want to wait and may give up.

Our software provides a complete solution and doesn’t require other security plugins, which is actually not recommended.

To top it off, we also have a free captcha and turnstile plugin that is vital for pages with data entry forms. All our plugins work in harmony.

    Regards,

    Bill
