Doing some reading on Amazon API and using images this morning and it’s a bit confusing. I use the Amazon Import piece of TA Pro and it downloads images from Amazon to my website. Some of what I’ve read says you can’t download Amazon images – unless you have API access. Other things I’ve read say no downloading at all.

Since we all want to stay on Amazon’s good side, I just wanted to double check with y’all to make sure that the download is keeping within Amazon’s terms. And just to make sure I don’t keep second guessing everything, could you cite where it stays within their terms?

    Thanks!
    Kevin

  • Hi @javafiend,

I apologize for the delay in response.

The Amazon Import feature, from our Thirsty Affiliates Pro, pulls available product images using Amazon API. Since it’s being sourced from the Amazon API, it should be OK. Also, we haven’t had any issues relating to this so far.

If you have any further questions about our Thirsty Affiliates Pro feature, please send them through our support form here: https://thirstyaffiliates.com/support/support-request-form

Let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with!

Thanks! With all of their rules, I just wanted to make sure I was in compliance.
