Amazon ad codes – working in two of three locations

We’re baffled. We have inserted Amazon ad code into different areas of the site, yet they will not work in footers. We have properly working ads just below the menus, in the fourth paragraph of single posts, but the ones in the footers are not showing up.

Our footer widget area has four widgets: 1) a classic text widget with the Amazon code, 2) a visual editor widget with a graphic, 3) an image widget with another graphic, and 4) a classic text widget with a social media icon set with an image map. You can see that #2 through #4 are showing up correctly. I have no “display:none” in my CSS to halt the display of #1.

We’ve tried the new HTML widget, a standard text widget, a visual editor widget, and now a classic text widget. None of these widgets display the ads. The HTML does show two links of <script> code, but none of the many lines of code that we see in the other instances where the ads are working.

I’m asking for another pair of eyes to see what we’re missing here. Thanks.
