Amazing team behind this great analytics plugin

I rarely write reviews, just too busy. But this time I had to take the time.

The plugin works great, FAR better than what I used before (Jetpack). Not only is it better, it’s way faster and prevents my site slowing down. Above all it helps in my quest to stop feeding the now overtly evil monolithic data harvesting monster they call Google/Alphabet.

I do need to be GDPR compliant due to where I am, but even if I didn’t, I would do so voluntarily. I detest the data-driven spy machine the internet has become, at least as far as the big tech firms are concerned. And I don’t feel good about subjecting my site visitors to it, feeding Google (and Facebook for that matter) their ‘fingerprint’ to track around the web and one day to do whoknowswhat with.

I had a few problems with my installation of Independent Analytics, partly because of my own site’s configuration. Ben at I.A. spent virtually an entire DAY solely focussed on my problem (and I am only a free user!)

He was logged into my host CP and my WP Admin, and after many hours he finally got it all working properly, including pulling data from a test server to merge with my new live data giving me a full picture of visitor activity before, during and after the new site launch.

The expertise and dedication was truly amazing and I can’t express how grateful I am. I also know of NO other plugin developer that would do this.

I will definitely be paying for premium as soon as possible. If anyone is looking for a super-lightweight but totally capable analytics tool, one where YOU keep your user’s data (anonymised) and stop ‘feeding the beast’, look no further. Superb in every way, thanks Ben, thanks I.A.
