Amazing on Educational Websites
-
The broadcast plugin allows teachers to create a centralized site to house all of the student contributions, while still providing the students with their own blog where they can collect work beyond the semester. This greatly simplifies the work of centralizing student posts on one domain, while allowing the students to build a digital portfolio on one blog, rather than having to create a number of different sites for every subject.
The teacher creates a blog (eg: the History Blog), and the students broadcast their history posts to that site. Add the additional add-on to ensure that comments sync from the child blog back to the parent, to centralize the conversation on the teacher blog, while still archiving the conversation on the student blog.
