Complicated, broke my site (locked me out)

  • Sometime back I used this plugin and while I initially liked it I opted to go with Ultimate Member. Now I have tried again and it’s very frustrating. From the terrible styling of forms to the fact it broke (wouldn’t let me log in). The default registration form looks so ugly and the submit button has no styling (just grey). I installed the suggested companion plugin Registration Magic. Today when trying to log in to the admin I found I was denied. For sure I didn’t change my password – but I was locked out! I discovered the install of RM had added duplicate pages called “login.” That shouldn’t happen. I cannot recommend this plugin.

    Actually I’m experimenting with a few plugins. For membership I tried Ultimate Member which has cool features.

    Also I have recently discovered a great forum product called wpForo. It’s really great.

    Some of these plugins have overlapping functionality. I wish it was easy to use all of them together – or even better to just have one plugin for everything.

    Also one more comment. After setting up the custom user registration page I was really impressed. But one obvious thing that is missing is integration with MailChimp or other mail providers. I’d like to see this added if possible. Thank you.
