Amateur needs help with the new Idris theme

  • Using the new Idris theme from SiteTrail, I can’t figure out how to replace the header (flower) image or how to get rid of the ‘Idris Magazine’ logo.

    Considering I don’t know a lick of code, how do I make this happen? Help, please!

    You may have better luck with that specific of a question asking the forum where you bought the theme or contating the developer…

    I tried that first and they responded quickly (which was great!) but I think they’re assuming I know far more than I do.

    For instance, to change the logo that currently reads ‘Idris Magazine’ they advised me to “replace it with your own logo by replacing the appropriate image located inside the theme’s “images” folder.” I see no Images folder so when I asked for further clarification, they told me the image is located here: /wp-content/themes/idris/images/logo.gif

    K, so that link takes me to a webpage with just the logo (old one I want to get rid of). Can I change it from there? I don’t see any options to do that.

    The word ‘amateur’ in the subject line was not an understatement. I am figuring it out as I go, one slow slow step at a time. Any help you can offer would be enorrrmously appreciated!

    Do you know how to use a FTP client?

    If so, please log in and head over to your WordPress installation’s /wp-content/themes/idris/images/ directory.
