Am unable to log in – weird error

Hello,

I am new to wordpress and am having problems logging into my account.

I downloaded everything, installed, and made it into the dashboard – I left the site and I received my welcome email with username and password.

Now a cannot login. When I use the username and password from the welcome email, I get the following message – password incorrect.

Yes. I am using the correct password that was sent to me.

Then when I request a new password, I get another error message that says – there is no user registered with that email address.

Any help would be appreciated.
