• I’m using Google Publisher Plugin and Mobile Theme Ads on my site. Is there any conflict with both plugin active at same time?

    As recommended, I’ve created 320×50 advertisement for Mobiles.

    Enter your google_ad_client ID here: Is this publisher ID or Customer ID?

    But adds are not appearing in mobile devices? Will it take some time or how is it getting add code?

    Advertisement is showing as ACTIVE in adsense page.

    Please help

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    If you already use another plugin, like Google Publisher, you won’t need my plugin. Google Publisher already inserts ads in your post content, regardless of the theme you use (desktop theme or mobile theme), so you don’t need an additional plugin to do that.

    Thank you for replying back.

    I would like to know what is the advantage of your plug over Googles?

    With the google’s plugin I can see the advertisements only at the bottom of the post. How about your plug in?

    I’ve seen in Most of the very famous websites mobile ads are coming in between the post similar like desktop version of the site. Is there anything we can do from your plug in?

    Regards

    The 2 plugins are quite different, and have different goals, so you can’t really compare them to each other.

    • Google Publisher helps you add ads everywhere on your site, regardless of the theme you use, and whether you are on mobile or on visiting the site from your desktop.
    • My plugin only adds ads for mobile visitors, and only if you use Jetpack and Jetpack’s Mobile Theme module. It doesn’t handle ads when visiting the site from your desktop.

    Yes, that’s exactly what my plugin does, if you use Jetpack and its Mobile Theme module. It adds ads either above or below the posts, on the site’s home page, or on pages, or on single post pages, or everywhere.

    Hi Jeremy
    You’ve been very helpful with some other threads of mine, thanks! I’m having trouble still getting the ads to show up anywhere other than the home page on the mobile theme. In the “Show Ads On” section of the Mobile Ads Settings it says this:

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘front’ in /home/greatfoo/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack-mobile-theme-ads/jp-minileven-ads.php on line 165
    checked=’checked’ /> Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results
    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘post’ in /home/greatfoo/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack-mobile-theme-ads/jp-minileven-ads.php on line 170
    checked=’checked’ /> Posts
    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘page’ in /home/greatfoo/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack-mobile-theme-ads/jp-minileven-ads.php on line 175
    checked=’checked’ /> Pages

    Can you please tell me what to do? Thanks! BTW, my site is https://www.GreatFoodLifestyle.com

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    I’m not sure I understand how that’s possible, since my plugin sets default values for these options.

    Could you try to delete the plugin and install it again, and let me know if it helps?

    I tried that, but got the same message. It had worked fine up until about a month ago. Well, mostly fine, but I still wasn’t getting an ad on the home page.

    Could you let me know what other plugins are currently active on your site?

    Antispam, Backup Buddy, EWWW Image Optimizer, Imsanity, Force Regenerate Thumbnails, Google Pagespeed Insights, Jetpack, Limit Login Attempts, Pinterest Follow Button (just deactivated that, though), Widget Shortcode, WordPress Importer, WordPress SEO.

    I just installed and activated Advanced Ads yesterday, because it allows me to place ads in more than one spot on the mobile theme, and it helped me place an ad in the top section of my posts on the desktop version. I won’t be using Jetpack Mobile Ads anymore, since Advanced Ads does what I need. The list of plugins I gave you above are the ones that were active when the mobile ads disappeared (about a month ago I think).

    Thanks for the extra details.

    If you’re ever willing to give Jetpack Mobile Ads another try, it might be useful to deactivate all other plugins, one at a time, until you find the one that was causing the issue.

    Sounds good…thanks!
