AlxPosts widget not showing photo only grey camera icon

    Hi all
    Am a complete newbie so please be kind : )
    Loving hueman, have the latest version direct from Hueman site BUT with my latest post on my home page the link photo in the left sidebar and centre has been replaced by a camera icon.
    The link itself works perfectly and once on the actual post page the correct photo is there at the top.
    I assume the issue is with the very nice AlxPost widget – I love the cut down photo look btw… but fiddle as I may I can’t resolve it and get my photos to show.
    Previous blog post photos in the left sidebar do show ok so it must be something odd I’ve done.

  • Hi,

    no, it is not Alxpost issue, they work perfect.
    Possible:
    -you forgot to set “Featured image” to some of your posts (than camera icon appears, as default)
    -if you did, try running Regenerate Thumbnails plugin recommended by Alex

    If this doesn’t solve the problem, please LMK, if it does – mark thread [resolved].

    Thanks for your reply.
    I had set featured image and have now done that a few times and even with a different photo – didn’t fix it.

    Followed your suggestion re Regenerate Thumbnails – all resized successfully but still no change to the camera icon : (

    Any other ideas?

    Hi Tracey,
    strange indeed.
    It’s not Alxposts issue, since I see your featured post thumbnail is also not working.
    What first comes to me:
    -Have you recently installed any new plugins?
    -What version of Hueman you are using?
    Try deactivating (not deleting) all plugins 1 by 1 – first less important ones – and see if it will start to work proper at some point.

    PLS do this and LMK how it goes.

    Thanks Mike – you are a genius!

    I had installed a new plugin for seeing how many page views called “Stat Counter” – it was the culprit.

    Shall now look for another stat plugin…

    Thanks so much for your help. I have little connectivity ATM so it has been driving me nuts not knowing how to fix it.

    glad to help.
    BTW – I have also Stat Counter working with Hueman without problems, but you never now…
    In 99% + issues Hueman is not guilty one, but plugins, or combination of it ??
