Shows this error message every time I check for a domain:
fsockopen(): Unable to connect to whois.crsnic.net:43 (Cannot assign requested address)

Is there any update releasing soon with solution this problem? I am happy to vote up for the plugin if the plugin really works for my site: https://emeahost.net/test-page/

In the plugin settings under about, section requirements for whois queries, what is the value of port 43? It should be open.

    Hi,
Thank you for your kind reply.

It is ‘locked’ and I cannot unlock that from the settings page. Is it possible to unlock this myself from my WHM area? I have VPS server with WHM root access.

BTW, if the error message displayed this “Port 43 must be unlocked by your hosting provider” instead of this “Unable to connect to whois.crsnic.net”, it would save both of our time and avoid any negative reviews.

    Thanks

I’am not familiar with WHM, but it seems to be possible: https://www.hoststud.com/resources/how-to-open-ports-in-whm-firewall.304/
