Always getting this error on my wordpress.

  • Hi,

    I am always getting this error – “Error establishing a database connection” – on wordpress. It comes on randomely for about 1-2 mins at a time and they goes away. I had this problem on 1.5 so i upgraded to 2.0, which did not help.

    Anyone here know what could be the problem? (my site gets around 60k/day btw)

  • That is down to your host – they are not maintaining a good enough service so it’s dropping sometimes.
    The solution is to switch hosts…

    I have a 100mbps xeon on a tier 1 host.

    Trust me, its the best of the best.

    Matters not – it is entirely their fault. Completely up to them that it happened and if they can be bothered to fix it.
    It’s not your fault.

    Email their support and yell at them (nicely).

    Feel free to point them at this thread and tell me I’m wrong too.
