I have just setup collapse-o-matic segments on 2 pages within my site
    hushmassage.co.nz/services and hushmassage.co.nz/gift-vouchers

Both pages on loading have each of the segments expanded not collapsed, but if I refresh the page they are then collapsed? Is there anyway to force the collapse?
    Many thanks

It seems that neither /services or /gift-vouchers are currently using expand elements.
The event that triggers the initial collapse is when the page finishes loading. If this takes awhile due to slow server, slow internet connection, mass amounts of data, etc… then the items will appear expanded during this time. The reason for this is SEO. When a indexing robot crawls your site, it will still index all your ‘soon to be hidden’ content.

If you don’t care about this content being indexed or not, you can use the maptastic class for the targets using the targclass attribute like so:

    [expand title="trigger" targclass="maptastic"]hidden content[/expand]

you can search this form for many other examples of how to use maptastic.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction.
