• Whatever I do the credentials fail to work. I think it is not setting referer properly in the plugin which causes the Google API to 403.

  • Are you using the Youtube API anywhere else.

    You only get 10,000 points per day allowance now at Youtube and that can very quickly be used up.

    1 point gets you 1 Youtube id in a search. So if you are using your api you can very quickly use up that allowance.

    for instance a search and an embed video with description and date etc can easily be over 20 points used.

    Think about how quickly you can run out of api calls in a day.

    You do a search of a big channel that returns 500 videos in the result and that could easily be 500 points gone before you embed anything. Select 50 videos with description etc to embed and that’s 10,000 points plus the original 500 and you are well over your allowance and will get 403’s returned for the rest of the day

    they are blocking apis without warning.
