    I have a problem with my Google+ sharing button on the right side of each blog post: It doesn’t appear. In the FAQ I’ve read this is caused by curl support disabled so I asked my webhost to enable it. The answer was: It is already enabled.
    So what is the problem that causes my Google+ buttons to disappear?

  • Just checking, you haven’t ticked the Single – Share Buttons disable box in the Blog section of the theme options have you?

    No, the option is set to on. However all buttons are working correctly except the Google+ button.
    One more thing: When I click on the white space between the Facebook and the Pinterest icon the Google+ sharing window opens.

    I’m afraid this issue is beyond my technical knowhow on this subject in that case, but I hope you get a positive resolution.

    One thing that might be worth trying if you can is to create another instance of wordpress on your hosting with a new db etc. Install the Hueman theme and enable that feature and see if you still get that issue. At least that way you will rule the hosting in or out.

    The other obvious thing which gets suggested a lot is disabling plugins to see what effect that might have.

    Ok, thank you for your help.

    Hey there, see if this thread helps. If you view that URL there, what error are you getting?

    Hey Alex, a big thanks to you for this link! After I did a full clean installation of WordPress on my local XAMPP (where it worked) and then upload it to my webspace it doesn’t work again. So I tried your link and, well, it’s not the solution but now I have an error at least. It says:

    <br />
    <b>Warning</b>:  curl_setopt_array(): CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when an open_basedir is set in <b>MYSITE/wp-content/themes/hueman/js/sharrre.php</b> on line <b>56</b><br />
    {"url":"https://sharrre.com/","count":0}

    So… what now?

    I would ask your webhost to sort that open_basedir setting out, otherwise there is no way around it other than disabling the buttons in options and using a plugin instead.

    Ok, I’ll see what I can do. Thank you.
