Hi, I am currently running Astra Pro which I paid for earlier this year. Also running Elementor. Some plugins I also run are Elementor: Header, Footer & Blocks, Ultimate Add-Ons for Elementor (both by the same people who made Astra theme), and Essential Add-Ons for Elementor. I’ve been told that these 3 plugins are making my site slow.

An alternative I was considering was to go with Elementor Pro, the paid version of their plugin, because it reputedly has everything those other 3 bulky plugins have, and then some.

Or something else you could suggest.

I need to be able to customize my own forms, add social media icons, etc. without incurring too much overhead.

    TIA for your advice.

  • Hi

From what you’ve said so far and my own cursory looking into the Astra Pro theme, it’s heavily integrated with the Elementor plugins you already are using. It may be difficult to separate using the Astra Pro theme and the Elementor plugins; so a replacement for only the Elementor plugins, might not be an easy option.

However, possibly the Pro version of Elementor could speed up your site since you’ll be using less number of plugins.

One other thing, have you tried following directions/tips to speed up your site with Astra’s own article? Here it is if you need it: https://wpastra.com/speed-up-wordpress/

I hope some of this helps. And, I just remembered that since this topic is about premium versions of Themes/Plugins, it’s frowned upon to post about/reply. Anyway, good luck. I would definitely try to post on their official forums.
