Alternative display image for display-posts

  • Hello Bill, fabulous plugin, well documented and great how-to tutorials. Left a 5-star rating.

    My challenge in implementing this is that the featured image in my theme (Neve) must be a landscape orientation (approximately 2x wide as high) if it is not to completely dominate the beginning of the post. I also want a different content for the featured image than the thumbnail image that appears as the output from your plugin.

    What would it take to look at the alternative text field of the featured image in the media library and, if there is a slug to a different image (also already in the media library and dimensioned approximately square), to use that image in display-posts?
