• Hello,

I have Yoast, polygland and Divi on my website.
I follow the guidelines of polygland to create the English version on my website (which is for now french).
I duplicated all the pages and translated manually the text in English.
The last thing remaining is the Alternate text of the images.

Since it is duplicated pages, the alternate text of the image is in french, so if I put it in English, it change for the french page as well (because its the same image that is use).

Is there is any way to translate the alternate text of each images or should I duplicate the images as well to have on version in french and one in English?

Thank you very much for your help ??

    Simon

    Hi Simon!

Did you ever find a solution for this issue? We are considering using Polylang free on a site, but are running into this issue. Polylang Pro is too expensive for this small site, so we might have to research an alternative solution if Polylang does not support this feature.

    Cheers,
    Jay

    Hi Jay,

Yes it work perfectly with polygland, I was able to change the Text alt for all the images when going into “media”, click on any image and then selecting the language on the right side bar (flag).
Once you select the other language, it open in a window where you can input the translation.

    I hope that will help.

    cheers,

    Simon

    Hi Simon,

Was this with the free or paid version of Polylang?

    Best regards,
    Jay

    Hi Jay,

It was the free version, I think the paid one includes auto translation and more than only one language.
    I only needed 2.

It’s perfect for what I needed, I just started my website so I needed as less cost as possible.

    hope it’s help,

    Simon
