Altering the terms checkbox text to include privacy policy messed up in wpml

Hi!

I’m trying to make my website GDPR compliant by altering the terms and conditions checkbox on the checkout page.

I changed it from:
I have read and agree to the website [terms]

to:
I have read and agree to the website [terms] and the [privacy policy]

Everything goes fine, except when I try to translate it with WPML string translation.
I translated the string into:

‘dutch string part’ [terms] ‘dutch string part 2’ [privacy_policy]

But it displays the wrong way, by removing the second part of the string all together and glueing the [terms] and [privacy_policy] together.

Any tips on how to fix this?
