Alt & Title Text can't be saved

    By default Alt & Title Text are taken from the file name.

    When I delete those and leave them blank, then save them, they reappear. Even if I change them they stay the same => they are not saved.

    How can this be solved?

    @miealex – It is a known “issue” that you cannot leave the Alt & Title Text blank but not being able to save any changes to that field is not something we have seen in quite some time.

    Have you checked for possible plugin conflicts (although I cannot think of any that might have this affect)?

    I think it was a cache issue when saving. Now it works when I try to change it and save.

    But what happens if I want to leave them blank? How can I achieve this?

    @miealex – Currently if you leave the Alt & Title field “blank” it will be re-populated with the filename … although you are more than free to suggest alternatives to this behavior as a Feature Request here: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/feature-voting/

    This idea has been suggested a few times so please add your thoughts to it.
