Alt text to media capability

Which capability lets users edit their own media while uploading?
I checked ‘edit’ in the media section:
but still the custom role cannot edit. I need them to be able to add an Alt-text:

@persoonlijkvaardiger From my testing, I could edit the alt text when I enable edit_post
Can you confirm you have enabled that capability?
