• I searched your docs but did not find two things.

    1. When I import into a Gallery from the WordPress media library, the alt-text does not copy over, thats ok for one image but for 10 or 50 or more it is a pain to manually update your gallery
    2. I do praise you for working on the plugin, I used this years ago tried again about 6 years ago, and today it is much better
    3. I do not know why you copy the photos to another directory and I am not sure how this effects SEO and site speed, I wish you an option to either copy or use what is in the media library then the issue #1 would also be solved

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @starpainttech,

    I am glad to help.

    1. You can check how metadata works in NextGEN Gallery here and ask any follow-up questions. Sinetunes issues with metadata could be related to the image processing with gdlibrary or imagick, even with the server’s PHP version or compilation.
    2. Thanks for your words, we appreciate it and will share with the team
    3. NextGEN Gallery copies the images because it creates different sizes of the same image, this, is to display different thumbnails and optimized versions of the original images to speed up pages and help site performance. All these copies in your media library will clog it and make an image appear several times.

I hope to hear back from you.

Thank you for your kind response.

    1. The alt attributes are set in WordPress, I am not uploading new images but pulling from the wordpress media library, I apologize for not making this clear. So I am not sure why it does not take this from the WordPress Media Library ?
    2. Your welcome
    3. Thank you
