Are you using the new editor or asking about older pages? (The new editor inserts media differently than the old, so I’m not sure what it does with the alt text.)

There also are some themes and some plugins that might be affecting this.

I’m using Divi. I have never had this issue before. I have built several websites.

So I have removed plugins and still no tags on images.
