Is it possible to have Alt tags showing the image title when you hover over the image thumbnails?
Not the main image on the page, but the 2 smaller ones under the main image.

    Hi @sammybear,

With WordPress, you can add image titles and alts from the Media Library when uploading or editing an image.

    Hi Stuart.

I have added all the details in already like you have shown in the screenshot. But its still not showing me any alt title or title or caption when I hover over the image.

The reason I want this is because on the products page there are multiple images as you can see if you follow this link and look at the 6 small images under the main image. for the record its not showing tags on ANY of the images. I just want to target these ones

My client wants customers to be able to hover over the thumbnails (under the main image) and have the title / caption / alt tag (not sure what the correct terminology is) but nothing is showing.
The caption shows when in the lightbox gallery so you can see I have edited in the details.

Im looking for code to be able to have those details display when images are hovered over.

    Thank you

    Sammy

    Hi @sammybear,

Cross testing for you on a fresh install of WooCommerce which has our free Storefront theme activated for you the images alt and title tags are added correctly to the main product image and the gallery images underneath too.

For changing the way these display by default however you would need to carry out some custom development work on your clients’ site and one of these services below could help with that if need be.

Thank you but that doesnt really help ?? I cant change my whole theme just to get it to display by default.

    Thanks anyway!

Could you help me with this question??

I realise the above was a chance, but this one is a glitch somewhere Im sure!

You probably wouldn’t have to change your whole theme, we can however only offer advice on the default features and functionality of the plugin in these forums.

If you wish to alter existing or add additional functionality due to a client’s requests you would need to hire a developer to carry out those changes ( if unable to do so yourself ) and then charge your client accordingly for that work.
