Alt tags in Assistant not coming over to media library

    This would be a fantastic plug in for our shop. However in assistant I attempted to add alt text to an image, and it took, but only in the assistant view. When I go back to media library and look at the image, the alt-text isn’t there and it doesn’t show in the inspector on the live site.

    I’m sure it is just a setting that I’m overlooking. How do I get the assistant alt tags to populate the media library alt tag field?

    Thanks for your interest and your question. I am having trouble understanding and reproducing the symptoms you report.

    You wrote “When I go back to media library and look at the image …” I changed the ALT Text value using the Media/Assistant Quick Edit area. I then went to the Media/Library “grid” view and clicked on the image I had just changed and the new ALT Text value showed up in the “Attachment Details” popup window. Is that not working on your system? Is there some other way you use to “look at” the image?

    I am not sure what you mean by “ the inspector on the live site.” Can you tell me the steps you are using to perform this function?

    It has been a month since the last post in this topic. Are you still having trouble with adding ALT Text values to your Media Library items?

    It has been a month since the last post in this topic. I assume you have found a solution to the ALT text issues for your application.

    Yep, it took a day, but the alt tags showed up and integrated with media library proper. Thanks. Really great, useful plugin.
