• Hi,

Liking the plugin so far, great how simple and easy to use it is.

I’ve changed the header image to one of my choosing by changing the URL, how do I change the alt text however? Similar to many of the templates the image has text embedded in the image and I don’t want this to be inaccessible.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Alistair Shepherd,

if you you as an image from the media library, the alt text of the image options page is used.

If you use an external image url, the alt text can not be added.

    Best regards

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.

That sounds ideal, although it would be good to be able to add alt text for external URLS.

In my case however using an item from the media library it is generating the alt text ‘www.cpc.com’, instead of what is set.

    Thanks,
    Alistair

    Hello Alistair,

to get the Alt text you want, you have to edit the “Header Text” when choosing the “Show just a text header” option first and then switch back to image only.

To be able to show the Alt text of an image in the WP Media library, currently the image and text have to be turned on. So that only works if you use either the option “Show image above text” or “Show image below text”.

I hope I could clarify this issue.

Please let us know if you need anything else.

    Best regards

    Hi Julian,

That’s solved it, definitely should be a lot more intuitive though!

    Thanks,
    Alistair

    Hi Alistair,

I am glad I could help and that it works for you.
We are sorry it currently does not feel intuitive enough.

    Best regards
    Julian
