Alt tag in image – score issue

    Dear team rankmath,

    One of the parameters to score well on SEO for rankmath is “focus key word used in at least one image”.

    The problem we are facing is that even if we have used Focus keyword in multiple image alt tags of a post, this score shows an error until we use the Focus keyword as alt tag for Featured Image Specifically.

    Please clarify, is it necessary to use Focus Keyword as alt tag of Featured Image?

    Need clarification as this was not the case before.

    Thank you for contacting support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    It’s not necessary to insert the focus keyword only in your featured image. Rather, you can add the primary focus keyword to any of your images in the post_content, and you should pass the test.

    Please make sure you’re using exactly the same primary focus keyword for your image alt attribute.

    If the issue persists, then assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or themes you are using.

    we update all our plugin & themes and also follow your instructions but still it does not work

    Can you please share the specific focus keyword you are using here so we can try and replicate the issue on our end? Also, share the alt text you have added to your image in your content as well.

    Lastly, are you using any kind of page builder or custom block to insert your images into your content?

    we use avada theme with own avada page builder

    and we use Image Element of avada to add images in post & pages

    Please note that the Avada Fusion builder is not compatible with Rank Math, so the image alt tests may not work. You may ignore the error if the alt tags are properly displayed on the frontend. You may refer to this guide on how we address this type of issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/. This may require you to contact the developers from Avada as well.
