    Hi,

I need to list All posts alphabetically in my site (alpha-numerically, really). Is there a plug-in that will do this?

Specifically, I’m building a public transport website : https://www.worcestershirebus.info. All my categories are areas/towns, all my tags are bus operators and all posts are bus timetables so I need categories, tags and search results to list posts alphabetically.

There will be over 50 categories & 30 tags when finished, all linking to over 170 bus timetable ‘posts’ so I need to make these changes across the whole site, not just one or two categories so I don’t think AZindex will do the job.

I’ve also installed wp-post-sorting which works in general, but my posts are alpha-numeric and returns ‘bus-166’ before ‘bus-18’ when it should be the other way round – the ascending numbering system works 1, 10, 100, 2, 20, 200 instead of 1, 2, 10, 20, 100, 200. Plus this plug-in only works for categories, not tags or search results.

I could change the dates and times on all posts to put them in the correct alpha-numeric order and then hide the dates (which are meaningless to my site’s functionality) but it’s a workaround I wanted to avoid.

    thanks

For anyone else who has this problem, the only solution was to assign all 221 posts new dates in ascending order.

Works perfectly for anyone using wordpress for a cms website and not a blog.
