Almost what I want but keeps asking for login and sticks there
-
I have a section of my website that is for Members Only. I’ve created a parent page with the [smartpwpages] shortcode and some footer lines. It is called “Members Only”. Then I have a child page called “Members Only Contents”. I uses the same password as the parent page. This part works correctly–I enter the password and I’m taken to the Members Only Contents page.
That page is a list of all the password-protected child pages in this section–sort of a Table of Contents. All these pages use the same password. The first time I click a link on the Table of Contents page to go to a specific page, it works and I’m taken there without having to log in again.
But if I click a link in that page that goes to another password-protected child page in this section or to go return to the Table of Contents page, I am taken to that page but it has the WordPress login form and won’t allow me to see the page. I’ve tried resubmitting the password but it just refreshes the login form page.
Before I found your plugin, I had this same problem when I first set the section up using the WordPress password-protected pages. That worked to get me to a specific page initially but links to other password-protected pages took me back to the parent Members Only page with a WordPress login form even though the URL address was for the page I wanted to be on. No matter what I did, it just refreshed the parent page with the WordPress loging form and wouldn’t go to the linked page or to the child Table of Contents page.
I was hoping this Smart Password Pages plugin would solve that problem but I still get stuck on login forms for the pages.
Is there a way to make it work for all the child pages in the password-protected section?
