    Dear Support,

There is an IP address (which I don’t know) in the “Allowlisted IP addresses that bypass all rules” that I cannot remove. I tried to remove it, added other IPs just to see if it will disappear, but it stays there. How can I completely delete it?

    Thank you for your time.

    Kind regards,
    Chariton

Hi @chariton, thanks for getting in touch.

Wordfence by design never adds IPs to this list for you, as it allows that IP to totally bypass the firewall. However, we have seen some hosting providers enforce an IP here that re-adds itself to mitigate compatibility issues with services they offer. You can double-check this with their support if necessary, but it certainly sounds like a case of that here for you.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hello Peter,

Thank you very much for your time. I’ll double check it with my hosting provider then.

    Thanks again.

    Kind regards,

    Hello there,

Even I am facing with the same is issue of strange IP address which doesn’t belong to me. As mentioned by @chariton I cannot even delete it and it stays there without getting deleted.

I don’t understand how a hosting provider can impose something like this without any consent?

Is it really from the hosting provider or is it someone else who is trying to hijack my web site?

Moreover, does Wordfence allows such kind of encroachment by third parties without any permission or agreement?

Can I get some more information and clarification on this please?

    Thank you.
