Allowing users to change post order

Hi all, I am trying to figure out how to add a “View by date / view by title” option to a list of posts (custom post type). I have scoured the web and found very little. And yes, I’ve tried the WP Smart Sort plugin and it’s completely broken. My code is shown below…
