Allowing a downloadable ‘gift’ to donors

    Hello.

    I am trying to find out if it’s possible to set up the Give plugin, to have a downloadable gift, after the user donates.

    Basically I really like the ‘Donation Goals’ setup that the plugin has, complete with the little progress bar. And we would like to set our site up to ‘sell’ our new record using the Give plugin, but the customer would name their price (as per the Goal plugin), and instead of a straight up donation, they would be able to download the new record afterward as a ‘gift’.

    Or is the plugin ONLY donations, there is never a possibility of a download link after donating. I suppose you could have a link in a custom email after donating, but that’s not really what I’m after.

    Hi, we have written this tutorial to achieve exactly what you describe. After a successful donation, the donor will land on a page where they can download the gift.

    This approach even works alongside our Donation Goals functionality. That means you can display progress towards an overall goal while still rewarding each individual donor with a gift.
