Allowed memory size exhausted

    Whenever I switch on ewww I get a message like – Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 49152 bytes) in wp-includes/wp-db.php.

    The site is set to 256M in wp-config, with 40 or so plugins, but only ewww triggers this. Is this common, and any solutions?

    If you’re using the lazy loader, make sure you upgrade to the latest version (5.1.3) as there is a fix to help prevent memory issues in that release.

    Otherwise, there are no known memory issues in EWWW IO, by default it doesn’t do anything memory-intensive on the front-end.

    Thanks, I tried on the site, but there’s no contact form – with the latest version I’m now getting this and the site doesn’t load at all until deactivating ewww:

    Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0

    For future reference, the contact form is opened via the message bubble in the bottom right ??

    Can you access the wp-admin at all when EWWW IO is active?
    If so, see if you have lazy load (easy mode tab) or JS WebP enabled. If you do, disable them and we’ll go from there.

    I can use the backend, so I’m able to deactivate, and lazy load isn’t turned on. It’s also not activated in Avada and WP Rocket, which I’m also using.

    What about JS WebP on the WebP tab?
