• Hi guys, ??

On this site called Fubiz, visitors can register (I noticed that although the browser says /register/ it goes to /wp-login.php?action=register )

And when you make a post, you’re taken to a page with a simple set of inputs: A drop-down menu to choose category, an input field for title, an upload your picture button and the textarea for the content with a very simplified wysiwyg editor.

Are these all standard features of the current WordPress that I’m unaware of, or do I need plugins to make these kinds of things work?

    https://www.fubiz.net/

    Thanks! ??

  • The site you mentioned seems to have a bit of trouble displaying post at the moment.

But you should check out BuddyPress, that seems to fit more than you need. You can also try to search for a front-end post plugin (there are quite a bit) this should fit your needs aswel.

    Thanks,
    Ruud

Thanks MeRuud, but you’re right – Buddypress offers way too much. I don’t want users to be able to create groups and I just want a simple set of forums, yet Buddypress seems to be unbelievably convoluted, unfriendly, and not really what most users are used to.

Can you customize buddypress to do what you want?
