• How would I go about doing this? I don’t want the users of my buddypress to use the WP Dashboard at all, but want them to be able to set up events on the events page.

Has anyone managed to do this? Thanks in advance.

  • I want to allow the users to create events without using the dashboard so I clicked on the anonymous thing at the bottom of the page, and it’s still not letting users submit the event. (There is no button anywhere that says “Add New Event” or “Submit Event”. My theme is not Buddypress compatible though, and I wonder if that’s the reason. Does the theme have to be Buddypress compatible in order to allow the user to submit an event on the site? If not, then why is it not working for me?

Did you click on Allow anonymous event submissions? and basically it work regardless if its buddypress or not. Are you using buddypress?

Not using Buddypress. Isn’t there a button on the site that should say “SUBMIT EVENT” or “ADD AN EVENT”? If so, that’s not showing up.

if you scroll to the bottom of that page, you’ll see what I mean.

    Did you use shortcode [event_form]?
