Allow users to add posts to personal list and notify them on post updates

Hi there,

For context:

I’m building an e-book store in which users pay for a subscription to have access to the content. The custom posts types I have:

– Books
– Chapters
– Authors
– Artists
– Publishers

So when I’m creating a book, I use Posts 2 Posts plugin to create bidirecional connections betweens those posts types.

My doubt is how can I allow registered users to add those books to an personal and private list, something simple like “My List” feature in Netflix.

And also I need to send notifications to them INSIDE the platform (would be nice to notify them via e-mail too) when a new chapter is attached to a book.

Any directions on this? What could work?
