• Hello David,

I’ve been customizing the style and markup of the galleries that I create with the [mla_gallery] shortcode on my site, and one thing that has begun to bug me a little bit ?? is that I have to add my specific style and markup template to each call of the gallery.

It would be handy to have a configuration setting that allows us to define which style/markup template should be the default for the shortcode (perhaps the “default” templates should be renamed to “built-in” to avoid confusion).

That would, for example, allow us to have a “test/experimental” style/markup template to play with, and once it works, simply “switch” to it for all galleries, at once, with a configuration setting (without the requirement to either touch all existing shortcodes, or copy/paste the template text blocks).

I would also like to suggest (if it is possible) to change the appearance/presentation of the templates a bit. Right now, all the templates are listed, which can lead to quite some excessive scrolling and confusion. ?? I think a dropdown/selector that only shows ONE template would be more convenient.

Thanks for keeping up the great work!
    Alex.

    Alexander,

Thanks for these ideas. I have implemented configuration settings to specify a “default” style and/or markup template and this will be in the next release.

Your second suggestion for a dropdown selector to limit the display of additional templates is a good one. I’ve added that to my list of future enhancements.
